Lallemand Inc. is a privately held Canadian company specializing in the research, development, production, marketing and distribution of yeast and bacteria. Lallemand has approximately 2,200 employees located in more than 30 countries on all continents.

Lallemand UK Limited, which acts as the holding company for our UK businesses, was established in 2001. Within the UK, Lallemand has three operating businesses:

AB Vickers: A global leader in the provision of filtration and enzyme technologies to the brewing industry, based at Burton upon Trent.

Biotal: The UK’s leading animal nutrition business supplying feed additives and forage technologies to the European agricultural industry, based in Cardiff.

Lallemand GB: In 2009, Lallemand acquired the ex-DSM/GB Ingredients yeast production and bakers yeast business in the UK and Ireland. Lallemand GB now operates the UK’s largest yeast plant at Felixstowe supplying fresh yeast to the UK baking industry.
